The SPI 13-940-2 is an 18-inch tool steel rule designed for precision layout and measurement work in fabrication, machining, and general trade applications. The rule features dual English and Metric graduation in 1/2, 1/32, and 1/64-inch increments, making it suitable for work that demands close tolerance reading. At 1-1/8 inches wide and 0.0400 inches thick, the blade provides enough rigidity to hold flat against a workpiece. A satin chrome-plated finish reduces glare and resists corrosion during daily shop use. The horizontal scale orientation and included hook add versatility for hanging storage and quick single-hand measurement setups.
This rule is used in machine shops, sheet metal fabrication, plumbing layout, electrical rough-in measurement, and general trade work wherever a reliable precision rule is needed. It is appropriate for professional bench work and field layout tasks that require both English and Metric readings on the same tool. The 18-inch overall length covers standard layout spans without the bulk of a longer rule.
Designed as a general-purpose precision steel rule for trade and machining applications requiring dual English and Metric graduation in an 18-inch format.
No installation is required for this measurement tool. Store flat or hang using the included hook to prevent warping. Keep the blade clean and dry to maintain the chrome finish and graduation legibility. Do not use as a cutting guide with rotary tools, as this can damage the graduated edge.
