The SPI 13-935-2 is a 12-inch steel rule machined from tool steel and finished with a satin chrome plating for reduced glare and corrosion resistance. It carries a 4R graduation pattern, providing four scales in one rule: 1/16, 1/32, 1/64, and 1/8 inch. At 1 inch wide and 0.0400 inches thick, the rule lays flat and stays rigid during layout work. A hook end is included for referencing from an edge without slippage. Machinists, toolmakers, fabricators, and quality control technicians use this rule for precision linear measurement in shop and field applications.
The SPI 13-935-2 is suited for horizontal-scale reading in metal fabrication shops, machine shops, welding operations, and general manufacturing environments. The 4R graduation style makes it a standard choice when a single rule needs to cover the most common fractional inch increments. The satin chrome finish reduces glare under shop lighting, improving readability during repetitive measurement tasks. It is appropriate for both bench use and hand-carry in tool bags or apron pockets.
Designed as a standard 12-inch steel rule for general-purpose precision layout and measurement in metalworking, fabrication, and inspection applications.
No installation is required for this measuring tool. Store the rule in a protective sleeve or case when not in use to prevent edge damage and surface scratching that can degrade graduation readability. Avoid using the rule as a straightedge for scoring or cutting, as this will damage the graduated markings. Clean with a dry or lightly oiled cloth to maintain the chrome finish.
