The SPI 13-910-5 is a flexible steel rule designed for precision linear measurement in trade and industrial applications. The rule measures 6 inches in overall length and 1/2 inch in overall width, with a thickness of 0.0200 inches, allowing it to bend into curved surfaces and tight spaces where rigid rules cannot reach. The black chrome-plated finish reduces glare and improves readability in low-light shop environments. Graduation follows the 3R style, with markings at 1/32, 1/50, and 1/64 inch intervals on horizontal-oriented scales. Machinists, pipefitters, sheet metal workers, and HVAC technicians use this rule for layout, inspection, and measurement tasks requiring fine resolution.
This flexible rule is suited for residential and commercial trade work, including HVAC duct layout, pipe fitting measurement, and general mechanical inspection. Its flexibility makes it practical for measuring curved surfaces, inside bends, and other irregular geometry that a rigid rule cannot follow. The compact 6-inch length fits easily in a tool pouch or apron pocket, keeping it accessible on the job site or in the shop. No hook is included, and the rule is non-magnetic.
Designed as a general-purpose flexible steel rule suitable for use across machining, HVAC, plumbing, and sheet metal trade applications requiring short-range precision measurement.
No installation is required for this measuring tool. Store the rule flat or rolled loosely to preserve flexibility and prevent permanent bending. Clean the rule after use to prevent buildup that can obscure graduation markings. Avoid exposing the rule to harsh chemicals that may degrade the black chrome-plated finish.
