The SPI 13-858-6 is a rigid steel rule measuring 24 inches in overall length and 1-1/8 inches in overall width. Finished in satin chrome plating, it delivers clear, glare-reduced readability in shop and field conditions. The rule carries 16R graduation style, providing four scales: 1/32, 1/64, 1/100, and 1/50 inch increments. At 0.0400 inches thick, it lies flat against a workpiece without flexing. Machinists, pipefitters, sheet metal workers, and layout technicians use this rule for precise linear measurement on a wide range of trade and fabrication tasks.
This rule is suited for residential and commercial trade applications where accurate layout and measurement are required. It performs well on machine shop floors, metal fabrication benches, HVAC ductwork layout, plumbing rough-in, and general mechanical work. The horizontal scale orientation makes it easy to read in standard left-to-right measurement workflows. It installs no tools and requires no power, serving as a hand-carried reference tool for daily use.
Designed as a general-purpose rigid steel rule for use in machining, fabrication, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical trade applications requiring precise fractional and decimal inch measurement.
No installation is required for this hand tool. Store flat to prevent warping and keep the graduated surface clean and free of debris to maintain readability. Inspect the rule periodically for burrs or edge damage that could affect measurement accuracy. Handle with care to avoid dropping on hard surfaces, which can cause permanent bending of a rigid rule.
