The SPECTRONICS SPE-EZDS-CS is a fluorescent dye sealant designed for HVAC refrigeration systems. Delivered in a compact 0.5-ounce EZ-Ject cartridge, it serves two functions: it fluoresces under UV light to pinpoint the exact location of refrigerant leaks, and it seals micro-leaks from the inside without system disassembly. Each cartridge treats up to 2.5 tons of cooling capacity. The formula is concentrated and includes corrosion-inhibiting properties, making it suitable for preventive maintenance as well as active leak response. Licensed HVAC technicians handling refrigerants are the primary installers.

This product is used in residential and light-commercial split systems, package units, and other refrigeration equipment rated up to 2.5 tons of cooling. It is well suited for service calls where a micro-leak has caused gradual refrigerant loss and full system teardown is not practical. The EZ-Ject cartridge format is compatible with standard injection tool systems, allowing the technician to introduce the sealant while the system is operating. The yellow-to-orange dye color is easily detected under UV or black light inspection after application.
