The SPECTROLINE gs-101/ecs is a dye capsule leak detector designed for use in refrigeration and air conditioning systems. The capsule introduces fluorescent dye into the system oil to help technicians locate refrigerant leaks using a UV or fluorescent leak detection lamp. Each capsule holds 0.03 oz of dye and is suited for systems containing up to 15 fl oz of oil and up to 2.9 lbs of refrigerant. The plastic capsule format allows for straightforward injection without removing oil from the system. Licensed HVAC technicians working on small residential cooling equipment are the primary installers.
