The SPECO VLD9M is a 2-megapixel HD-TVI infrared dome camera with a motorized lens, designed for professional video surveillance installations. It delivers high-definition 1080p-class image capture over coaxial cable infrastructure using the HD-TVI signal format, making it a practical choice for upgrading or expanding existing analog-based CCTV systems. The motorized zoom lens allows technicians to adjust field of view remotely or during initial setup without physically repositioning the camera housing. Infrared illumination enables low-light and nighttime imaging without supplemental lighting. Security integrators and low-voltage technicians are the primary installers of this unit.
The VLD9M is suited for indoor dome camera applications in commercial and light-industrial environments where HD-TVI infrastructure is already in place. Typical deployment scenarios include retail spaces, office buildings, warehouses, and entry points requiring discreet overhead coverage. The motorized lens is especially useful in installations where precise aiming and zoom adjustment are needed after the camera is mounted and cabling is complete, reducing return trips for fine-tuning.
Designed for use with HD-TVI-compatible digital video recorders and hybrid DVR systems that accept HD-TVI signal input over standard coaxial cable.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage or security systems technician in accordance with applicable local codes and NEC guidelines for low-voltage wiring. Power down the DVR and disconnect the coaxial cable run before connecting or disconnecting the camera. Secure the dome housing firmly to the mounting surface and verify the infrared illuminators are not obstructed by the dome cover after reassembly. Confirm HD-TVI mode is selected on the DVR channel assigned to this camera before completing the installation.
