The SPECO SP6MAWT is an in-wall speaker with an integrated back box, designed for permanent installation within wall cavities in residential and commercial audio distribution systems. The back box enclosure provides acoustic isolation from the wall cavity, improving low-frequency response and protecting the driver from insulation and debris. Licensed audio installers and low-voltage technicians are the primary trades responsible for this installation. The back box design simplifies rough-in work by eliminating the need to source a separate enclosure.

The SP6MAWT is suited for in-wall audio applications including whole-home audio distribution, background music systems, and commercial paging installations. Its self-contained back box makes it a practical choice for new construction as well as retrofit projects where cavity conditions are unpredictable. The unit ships as a single speaker.

Installation Notes

Cut the wall opening to the template dimensions provided in the product manual, and secure the back box to the stud bay or mounting surface before completing wiring. Avoid running speaker wiring parallel to AC power conductors to minimize interference.
