The SPEARS 829-007 is a 3/4 inch nominal, Schedule 80/XH PVC standard coupling designed for socket-end connections in pressure piping systems. Molded from PVC Type I (cell classification 12454) and rated to 150 psi non-shock at 73 degrees F, this coupling joins same-diameter pipe runs in a wide range of industrial, commercial, and plumbing applications. At 2.125 inches in length and 1.4375 inches in width, it is a compact, full-schedule fitting that delivers consistent wall thickness and reliable joint integrity. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance technicians install this fitting as part of solvent-welded SCH 80 piping assemblies.
This coupling is suited for use in corrosive fluid handling, chemical process lines, irrigation, and potable water distribution systems where a heavier-schedule PVC fitting is specified. Its gray color is standard for SCH 80 PVC, making it easy to distinguish from lighter-schedule components on the job. The fitting is manufactured domestically by Spears Manufacturing and certified for potable water service by NSF International, making it appropriate for both industrial and municipal water system work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 3/4 inch Schedule 80 PVC piping systems using socket-end, solvent-welded connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter following applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Depressurize and drain the line completely before cutting into an existing system. Use only PVC-rated solvent cement and primer appropriate for SCH 80 fittings, and allow full cure time before restoring pressure. Do not exceed the rated working pressure or use this fitting with fluids or temperatures outside the published PVC service range.
