The SPEARS 54211191903 is a Schedule 80 CPVC reducing wye fitting designed for industrial and commercial piping systems where chemical resistance and pressure integrity are critical. This molded fitting connects a 6-inch main run to a 4-inch branch at a wye angle, all through socket-style end connections. It carries a pressure rating of 150 psi at 73 degrees F and is manufactured from CPVC material with a cell classification of 23447 per ASTM D-1784. At 9.23 pounds and 12-21/32 inches in length, it is built for demanding wet-system applications where Schedule 40 fittings fall short. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this fitting.
This reducing wye is suited for Schedule 80 CPVC piping systems handling potable water, corrosive fluids, or high-temperature water service in residential, commercial, and light industrial environments. The socket end style accepts solvent-cement joints in accordance with standard CPVC installation practice. All Spears CPVC Schedule 80 injection-molded fittings through 12 inches are manufactured in compliance with ASTM F-439 and are certified by NSF International for use with potable water service. The fitting is produced domestically in the United States.
Designed for use with 6-inch and 4-inch Schedule 80 CPVC pipe systems. Complies with ASTM F-439 for injection-molded CPVC fittings and meets ANSI B16.5 bolt pattern standards for flanged connections where applicable. Suitable for potable water service as certified by NSF International.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable plumbing codes, including IPC and IFGC requirements for plastic piping systems. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before cutting into any existing line. Use solvent cement and primer rated for CPVC Schedule 80 pipe and fittings; do not substitute PVC-rated cement. Allow full cure time before restoring system pressure.
