The Spears 436-012 is a 1-1/4-inch Schedule 40 PVC male adapter with a male pipe thread (MPT) to socket connection. It provides a precision-molded solvent-weld socket on one end and tapered MPT threads on the other for joining solvent-weld PVC piping to threaded components. Constructed from Schedule 40 PVC, it meets ASTM D2466 and NSF standards, is lead free, and is suitable for potable water, irrigation, and general plumbing applications.
