The SPACEPAK ESP3642JH4M is a high-velocity fan coil unit designed for heat pump systems in residential and light-commercial applications. Rated at 3 to 3.5 tons, it pairs an electronically commutated motor (ECM) blower with an integrated control board to deliver efficient, quiet airflow management. The unit ships in a standard 230-volt single-phase configuration and includes a built-in anti-frost control, float switch, and condensate trap. A slide-out blower assembly simplifies field servicing, and motor staging is adjustable without additional components. Licensed HVAC technicians install this unit as the indoor air-handling section of a split heat pump system.
The ESP3642JH4M is intended for single-phase, single-stage heat pump split systems where a high-velocity air distribution design is required. At 3 to 3.5 tons, it fits a common range of residential and smaller commercial load calculations. The unit is field-convertible to 115 volts for installations where 230-volt service is not available, expanding placement flexibility. Its compact cabinet dimensions of 29.375 inches deep, 33.25 inches wide, and 14.12 inches tall allow installation in tight mechanical spaces such as closets, attics, and utility rooms.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fan coil for high-velocity heat pump split systems in the 3 to 3.5 ton capacity range, single-phase configuration.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the manufacturer instructions. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before making any wiring connections or performing coil work. Refrigerant line connections require an EPA Section 608 certified technician; the 3/8-inch liquid line and 7/8-inch suction fitting must be properly brazed and leak-checked before system startup. Verify that the condensate drain is properly pitched and that the float switch circuit is functional before energizing the unit.
