The SOUTHWIRE R20047-1D is a 22 AWG, 6-conductor unshielded automation communication cable designed for low-voltage control and data signaling applications in commercial and residential systems. The cable features a bare copper conductor with fiber-reinforced polypropylene and polypropylene insulation, covered by a PVC jacket with a 0.161-inch outside diameter. It carries UL Type CM/CL2 and CMX Outdoor ratings, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations. This cable is sold in 1-foot cut increments with a minimum cut length of 250 feet per order from a 500-foot total coil. It is RoHS compliant and sun-resistant, supporting long-term performance in exposed runs.
This cable is commonly used in building automation, HVAC controls, access control, and low-voltage communication systems where an unshielded multi-conductor cable is specified. Its CMX Outdoor rating allows installation in direct-sun exterior conduit runs or outdoor-rated pathways.
