The SOUTHWIRE NMLQ9125 is a nonmetallic liquid-tight box connector configured at a 90-degree angle for 1-1/4 inch conduit. Built from nylon, this connector provides a watertight termination point where flexible nonmetallic liquid-tight conduit meets an electrical enclosure or junction box. The 90-degree elbow design allows the conduit to change direction cleanly at the box entry, reducing stress on the conduit and fitting. Electricians use this type of connector in wet, damp, and corrosive environments where metal fittings are not preferred. It is a standard component in commercial and industrial wiring installations requiring liquid-tight conduit systems.
This connector is suited for use with 1-1/4 inch nonmetallic liquid-tight flexible conduit in applications such as mechanical equipment rooms, pump installations, HVAC equipment wiring, and other locations subject to moisture or washdown conditions. The 90-degree angle makes it particularly useful where conduit must enter a box from the side or where space constraints prevent a straight connector from being used effectively.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use connector for 1-1/4 inch nonmetallic liquid-tight flexible conduit systems. Also referenced as Topaz P494 and Madison NMLQ-9125.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with NEC requirements for liquid-tight conduit systems. De-energize the circuit and verify lockout-tagout procedures before making connections at any enclosure. Ensure the knockout size matches the 1-1/4 inch connector body and that the locknut is tightened securely to maintain the liquid-tight seal. Do not overtighten the nylon body, as excessive torque can crack the fitting.
