The SOUTHWIRE N-75400 is a rigid conduit nipple sized at 3/4 inch trade size by 4 inches in length, used to make short conduit connections between enclosures, junction boxes, panels, and fittings. Rigid conduit nipples are threaded on both ends and installed where a full conduit run is not needed — typically at enclosure knockouts, meter bases, and similar transition points. Electricians reach for this fitting when a close-nipple or short-length connection is required in a rigid metallic conduit (RMC) system. The N-75400 ships ready to install and supports standard conduit wiring methods covered under NEC Chapter 3.
This nipple is suited for commercial and residential electrical installations where rigid metal conduit is specified. Common applications include service entrance connections, panel-to-enclosure drops, and conduit stub-outs at electrical equipment. It is appropriate for use in dry, damp, and wet locations consistent with RMC installation requirements and local electrical codes.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for use with 3/4 inch rigid metal conduit (RMC) systems and standard 3/4 inch threaded conduit fittings and enclosure knockouts.
Installation of rigid conduit nipples is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC Article 344. De-energize all circuits and lock out the panel or service equipment before working inside any enclosure. Use appropriate conduit wrenches to tighten threaded connections without over-stressing the fitting. Apply listed conduit thread compound or approved anti-oxidant compound where required by local code or for wet-location installations.
