The SOUTHWIRE N-125800 is a galvanized steel conduit nipple designed to extend threaded rigid or IMC conduit runs. Fabricated from rugged galvanized steel, this nipple delivers high corrosion resistance and low conductivity, making it well suited for demanding electrical installations. The 1-1/4-inch trade size and 8-inch length allow electricians to bridge conduit sections cleanly and maintain a secure, code-compliant connection. UL listed, the N-125800 meets the safety and performance standards required on commercial and residential jobsites alike.
This conduit nipple is intended for use in rigid metal conduit (RMC) and intermediate metal conduit (IMC) systems. It is a common fit in commercial, industrial, and residential wiring applications where a short extension between conduit fittings, enclosures, or panels is needed. Electricians reach for this style of nipple when connecting junction boxes, panel knockouts, or conduit bodies where a full stick of conduit is not practical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit nipple for 1-1/4-inch threaded rigid metal conduit and intermediate metal conduit systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements for metallic conduit systems. De-energize all circuits and lock out the panel before working inside any enclosure or panel where this nipple will be installed. Use a pipe wrench or conduit vise to achieve a tight, secure thread engagement without over-stressing the fitting. Verify that all locknuts and bushings are properly torqued to maintain grounding continuity through the conduit system.
