The SOUTHWIRE N-125600 is a galvanized steel conduit nipple designed to extend a run of threaded rigid or IMC conduit. Measuring 1.25 inches in trade size and 6 inches in length, this nipple threads directly into standard conduit fittings, couplings, and enclosures to bridge short gaps or transition between boxes and panels. Galvanized steel construction provides low conductivity, strong corrosion resistance, and the mechanical durability required for exposed or embedded conduit installations. Licensed electricians rely on this fitting for both new construction and retrofit work where a short, fixed-length extension is needed between conduit sections.
This conduit nipple is suited for commercial and residential electrical installations where threaded rigid metal conduit (RMC) or intermediate metal conduit (IMC) is specified. Common applications include panel stub-ups, equipment connections, and short conduit runs through walls or enclosures. The pre-threaded ends eliminate field threading and allow fast assembly on the job site.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for 1-1/4 inch trade size threaded rigid metal conduit and IMC conduit systems in commercial and residential electrical installations.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for rigid metal conduit systems. De-energize all circuits in the affected panel or enclosure before beginning conduit work. Use appropriate conduit wrenches to ensure thread engagement without cross-threading or over-torquing. Apply listed thread sealant or approved compounds only where required by the authority having jurisdiction.
