The SOUTHWIRE N-125400 is a galvanized steel conduit nipple designed to extend or connect runs of threaded rigid metal conduit (RMC) or intermediate metal conduit (IMC). At 1.25 inches trade size and 4 inches in length, it provides a short, rigid coupling point between conduit bodies, enclosures, or fittings. The galvanized steel construction delivers corrosion resistance suited to indoor and outdoor installations. This nipple is UL listed, confirming it meets recognized safety standards for electrical raceway applications.
This nipple is used in commercial and industrial electrical installations where rigid or IMC conduit must be terminated, extended, or transitioned through a knockout or enclosure wall. It is a common component in panel feeders, junction box connections, and conduit-to-enclosure entries. Its short 4-inch length makes it appropriate for close-coupled connections where a standard conduit length would be impractical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement fitting for 1.25-inch trade size threaded rigid metal conduit and IMC raceway systems in commercial and industrial electrical installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits in the affected raceway before beginning work. Use appropriate pipe wrenches or conduit threading tools to achieve tight, flush threaded engagement on both ends. Do not overtighten to the point of distorting the conduit threads or fitting body.
