The SOUTHWIRE MNT-2751 is a 3/4 inch malleable rigid compression box connector designed for no-thread termination of rigid metal conduit (RMC) and intermediate metal conduit (IMC) at electrical enclosures and junction boxes. Malleable iron construction delivers the mechanical strength and corrosion resistance required in commercial and industrial wiring applications. This connector uses a compression-style fitting that eliminates the need for threading the conduit end, speeding up installation and reducing labor time. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this type of connector during new construction and retrofit work where conduit enters panels, boxes, and enclosures. The pack includes 5 connectors.
The MNT-2751 is suited for use in commercial, industrial, and residential electrical installations where RMC or IMC conduit systems are specified. Compression box connectors of this type are commonly found in panel rough-ins, service entrances, and raceway systems that require secure, vibration-resistant conduit terminations. This fitting is appropriate for dry, damp, and wet locations where the conduit system and box rating permit, making it a practical choice for a wide range of job site conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit connector for 3/4 inch rigid metal conduit and intermediate metal conduit installations at electrical enclosures and junction boxes.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits and verify the absence of voltage before working on any enclosure or panel. Ensure the conduit end is cut square and deburred before seating it into the compression fitting to achieve a proper seal and mechanical connection. Do not overtighten the compression nut by impact tools, as this can damage the malleable body or deform the conduit.
