The SOUTHWIRE LRB6 is a steel reducing bushing designed to adapt a larger conduit knockout or fitting opening to accept a smaller conduit or fitting. Reducing bushings are standard hardware in electrical panel, junction box, and enclosure work, allowing electricians to reuse knockouts of one size with conduit or connectors of a smaller trade size. This bushing steps down from 1-1/4 inches to 3/4 inches. It is fabricated from steel for durability in commercial and residential electrical installations and meets typical code requirements for metallic raceway systems.
This reducing bushing is used in electrical enclosures, load centers, junction boxes, and conduit bodies wherever a knockout size does not match the trade size of the conduit or connector being installed. It is a routine component in panel rough-in work, retrofit wiring projects, and service upgrades where mixed conduit sizes are encountered. Licensed electricians install this bushing as part of standard conduit and fitting assemblies in both new construction and existing systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit reducing bushing for 1-1/4 inch knockouts requiring a 3/4 inch conduit or connector trade size in metallic raceway installations.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the panel or enclosure before working near any live conductors or bus bars. Thread or press the bushing into the knockout opening fully and verify it is seated and secure before pulling wire or installing connectors. Do not use this bushing in applications requiring insulated throat bushings where conductor protection is mandated by code.
