The SOUTHWIRE LRB4 is a steel reducing bushing used to adapt a larger conduit knockout or fitting opening to accept a smaller conduit or connector. This bushing steps down from a 1-inch opening to a 3/4-inch entry, allowing electricians to transition between conduit sizes without replacing the enclosure or fitting. It is a standard trade fitting used in panel, junction box, and enclosure work. The steel construction provides the durability and grounding continuity required in commercial and residential electrical installations.
This reducing bushing is suited for use with rigid metal conduit (RMC), intermediate metal conduit (IMC), and standard electrical enclosures where knockout sizes do not match the conduit being installed. It is a common stock item for electricians and electrical contractors performing panel terminations, junction box entries, and service work. The 1-inch to 3/4-inch size is one of the most frequently needed reducing sizes in the field.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and equivalent fitting for applications referencing Madison Electric LRB-4, Madison LRB-4, and Topaz RB4. Suitable for use in standard 1-inch to 3/4-inch reducing applications in electrical enclosures and conduit systems.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize all circuits and verify absence of voltage before working inside any panel or enclosure. Thread or seat the bushing into the knockout opening before inserting the smaller conduit or connector. Ensure the bushing is fully seated and secured to maintain proper grounding continuity throughout the conduit system.
