The SOUTHWIRE LQA1125 is a straight liquid-tight box connector made from zinc die-cast construction. It is designed to secure liquid-tight flexible conduit to electrical enclosures and junction boxes, providing a watertight mechanical connection at the box entry point. This connector is suited for use in wet or damp locations where conduit must terminate at a panel, box, or enclosure without allowing moisture ingress. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this type of fitting during rough-in and finish wiring on commercial and residential projects. The zinc die-cast body delivers durability and corrosion resistance in demanding environments.
The LQA1125 straight connector is used in conduit installations where a direct, in-line entry into an electrical box is required. It is appropriate for indoor and outdoor applications where liquid-tight flexible conduit is specified, including mechanical rooms, rooftop equipment connections, and wet industrial environments. This three-piece pack provides multiple connectors for jobs requiring several termination points on a single service call or installation project.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and equivalent to Madison Electric LQA-1125 and Topaz 474. Suitable for use with standard liquid-tight flexible conduit terminating at electrical enclosures and junction boxes in typical residential and commercial installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for liquid-tight fittings and conduit systems. De-energize the circuit and follow lockout-tagout procedures before opening any enclosure or making conduit connections. Standard conduit hand tools are used to thread and tighten the connector body; do not overtighten, as zinc die-cast fittings can crack under excessive torque. Verify that the liquid-tight conduit jacket is fully seated and the fitting is properly tightened to maintain the watertight seal.
