The SOUTHWIRE LNS75 is a 3/4-inch rigid sealing locknut designed to secure threaded conduit or connectors to electrical junction boxes and enclosures in wet or damp locations. Constructed from zinc electroplated steel, the locknut features a gasketed seating surface that forms a watertight seal against the box wall. This 5-pack is rated for raintight applications, making it a reliable choice for outdoor panels, weatherproof enclosures, and any installation where moisture intrusion is a concern. Licensed electricians and experienced electrical trades are the primary installers of this fitting.
The LNS75 sealing locknut is suited for residential and commercial electrical installations where conduit terminates at a junction box or enclosure in a wet or damp-rated location. The gasketed design allows standard junction boxes with unthreaded knockout openings to be used in these environments without the need for specialized wet-location enclosures. This part is sold in a 5-pack, making it practical for panel work or multi-circuit rough-ins where several conduit entries must be sealed.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for the LNS-75 sealing locknut. Also referenced as Madison Electric LNS-75, Madison LNS-75, and Topaz 282. Fits standard 3/4-inch threaded conduit and connectors used with electrical junction boxes and enclosures.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize the circuit and verify power is off before working on any enclosure or panel. Thread the locknut onto the conduit or connector and tighten firmly against the enclosure wall so the gasket compresses to form a complete seal. Avoid over-tightening, which can distort the gasket and compromise the watertight integrity.
