The SOUTHWIRE LBLA150CB is a 1-1/2 inch aluminum LB-type combination conduit body designed for use with both EMT and threaded rigid metal conduit. It ships complete with a domed cover and gasket, making it suitable for wet locations per NEMA FB 1 ratings. The aluminum construction provides natural corrosion resistance while keeping weight low. Smooth, rounded integral bushings built into the hubs protect conductor insulation during pull-through. Licensed electricians and conduit installers use this fitting to change direction in conduit runs and to gain access points for wire splicing without cutting into walls or ceilings.
The LBLA150CB is suited for commercial and residential electrical installations where a direction change or junction access point is needed in a 1-1/2 inch conduit system. The LB configuration places one hub on the end and one on the back, allowing a 90-degree turn in the conduit run. The domed cover increases interior volume for additional wiring space, and the included gasket maintains the wet-location rating of the assembly. This fitting is compatible with threaded rigid metal conduit only when using the threaded hubs; verify conduit type before installation.
Designed for use with 1-1/2 inch EMT and threaded rigid metal conduit systems. Use with threaded rigid metal conduit only when engaging the threaded hubs. Not rated for use with non-metallic conduit types.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize the circuit completely before opening or working near any conduit body. Ensure the gasket is properly seated under the domed cover before fastening to maintain the wet-location rating. Do not overtighten the cover hardware or force conductors into the body in a way that exceeds fill capacity per NEC Article 314.
