The SOUTHWIRE ELL2 is an LL-configuration conduit body designed for use with 3/4-inch EMT (electrical metallic tubing) conduit systems. Constructed from aluminum with a set-screw fitting style, this conduit body allows conductors to change direction at a 90-degree angle while providing an access point for wire pulling and future maintenance. It is suitable for exposed or concealed indoor wiring installations and is handled by licensed electricians working on commercial and residential projects.
This conduit body is used wherever a 90-degree horizontal direction change is required in an EMT conduit run, with the access cover positioned on the left side of the turn. Typical applications include junction and pull points in branch circuit wiring, panel feeds, and equipment connections using 3/4-inch EMT. The set-screw connection style ensures secure mechanical and electrical continuity throughout the assembly.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for use with standard 3/4-inch EMT conduit and compatible set-screw fittings and couplings in commercial and residential electrical installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize the circuit and verify the absence of voltage before working on or near the conduit system. Ensure the conduit body fill capacity does not exceed NEC conductor fill limits for the installed wire size and quantity. The cover and gasket should be reinstalled securely after wire pulling to maintain any applicable enclosure rating.
