The SOUTHWIRE ELE-12545 is a 45-degree EMT conduit elbow designed for use in electrical metallic tubing systems. This fitting redirects conduit runs at a 45-degree angle, allowing installers to navigate around structural obstacles while maintaining a clean, code-compliant raceway. The 1-1/4 inch trade size makes it suitable for medium-capacity conduit runs carrying branch circuit or feeder conductors. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting during rough-in and finish electrical work on both new construction and renovation projects.
This elbow is used in commercial and residential electrical installations where EMT conduit systems require directional changes. It is suited for exposed and concealed raceway applications in dry and damp locations. The 45-degree bend angle is a standard configuration for diagonal offsets and transitions commonly encountered in panel feeders, equipment connections, and branch circuit routing.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting for 1-1/4 inch EMT conduit systems in residential and commercial electrical installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits in the affected conduit run before beginning work. Secure conduit and fittings with approved straps and supports at intervals required by the NEC. Do not over-tighten set-screw couplings or connectors, as this can deform the conduit wall at the elbow joint.
