The SOUTHWIRE/COLEMAN CABLE 22973283 is a 50-foot coil of 10 AWG stranded copper THHN building wire rated at 600 volts and 90 degrees F. The nylon jacket meets THHN specifications for use in conduit and raceway applications. This wire is wound on a plastic spool for clean, tangle-free dispensing on the job. Electricians use this wire for general-purpose branch circuit wiring in residential and light commercial installations. The stranded construction makes it easier to pull through conduit and to terminate at panels, junction boxes, and devices compared to solid conductor wire.
This black 10 AWG THHN wire is suited for indoor and outdoor conduit installations where a 600-volt rated conductor is required. Common applications include feeder and branch circuit runs in residential panel wiring, commercial build-outs, and light industrial installations. The black insulation color is standard for use as an ungrounded hot conductor in single-phase and three-phase systems. The 50-foot spool length fits smaller jobs, service calls, and repair work where a full reel is not practical.
Designed as a standard THHN-rated building wire suitable for installation in EMT, rigid metal conduit, PVC conduit, and other raceway systems where 600-volt, 90 degrees C conductors are specified.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before making any connections. THHN wire is intended for use in conduit or raceway and is not rated for direct burial or use as a service entrance conductor without additional protection. Avoid exceeding the conduit fill percentages specified by the NEC for the conduit size being used.
