The SOUTHWIRE 920030608 is an RG6 coaxial cable rated at 75 ohms impedance, built on an 18 AWG steel conductor with a dual-layer braid and foil shield. The cable measures 0.269 inches in outside diameter and is jacketed in sun-resistant PVC, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor runs. It is sold in 250-foot lengths. Licensed electricians and low-voltage technicians use this cable for video distribution, antenna feeds, and structured wiring installations where a reliable 75-ohm signal path is required.
This cable is appropriate for residential and light commercial applications including satellite dish runs, over-the-air antenna installations, cable TV distribution, and structured wiring systems. The PVC jacket with sun-resistant properties allows installation in exterior conduit or direct-routed outdoor runs. The 60 percent shield coverage from the combined foil and braid construction helps reduce signal loss and interference across the run.
RG6 coaxial construction with 75 ohms impedance for standard video and antenna applications
18 AWG steel conductor for consistent signal transmission
Dual-layer shield: foil plus braid at 60 percent shield coverage to reduce interference
Sun-resistant PVC jacket rated for outdoor and exposed installations
Maximum operating temperature of 167 degrees F
250-foot long
Meets NEC Article 725 and 800, UL 1581, ETL Dual Listed, and RoHS 2011/65/EU
Designed as a standard RG6 75-ohm coaxial cable for use in residential and commercial low-voltage signal distribution systems including satellite, cable TV, and antenna installations where RG6 specification cable is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified low-voltage technician in accordance with NEC Article 800 for communication circuits and Article 725 for Class 2 and Class 3 circuits. De-energize and verify the absence of voltage on any connected equipment before terminating or splicing the cable. Use proper coaxial compression or crimp connectors rated for RG6; avoid sharp bends that could compromise the shielding geometry. Outdoor runs should be protected from standing water ingress at termination points.
