The SOUTHWIRE 752I is a 3/4-inch insulated bushed nipple used to provide a smooth, protected entry point for electrical conductors passing through enclosures, panels, and conduit terminations. The insulated throat prevents wire insulation damage at the point of entry, which is a common cause of abrasion failure in service. This fitting is installed by licensed electricians during panel terminations, junction box work, and conduit system assemblies in both residential and commercial electrical installations.
The 752I is suited for use at conduit entry points into metallic enclosures, load centers, and junction boxes where conductor protection at the knockout is required. It is commonly installed where conduit terminates without a connector, providing the insulated bushing function in a compact nipple form that threads directly into standard knockouts.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement fitting for standard 3/4-inch threaded knockout applications in metallic electrical enclosures and conduit systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician. De-energize and lock out the panel or enclosure before working at any knockout entry point, in accordance with NFPA 70 (NEC) lockout/tagout requirements. Thread the nipple into the knockout by hand first, then tighten with an appropriate wrench or pliers to secure. Avoid over-tightening, which can crack the insulated insert and defeat the protection it provides.
