The SOUTHWIRE 7145SW is a 100-foot temporary light string designed for job-site and event lighting in both indoor and outdoor environments. It features a 14/2-gauge SJTW power cord with 10 lamp holders evenly spaced at 10-foot intervals, starting 9 feet from the plug. Each socket accepts incandescent bulbs rated up to 150 watts, size A23 or larger. The cord is rated for exposure to moisture, abrasion, chemicals, and UV rays, making it a dependable choice for rough-service conditions. Licensed electricians and general contractors install this string during construction, renovation, and temporary power setups.
The 7145SW is suited for temporary illumination in attics, garages, unfinished construction sites, basements, outdoor parties, and similar environments where permanent lighting is not yet installed or not practical. The highly visible yellow lamp holders help with socket identification in low-light work areas. The cord includes an attachment plug cap and cord connector, allowing it to be daisy-chained or connected to standard power sources on the job site. It performs reliably in both residential and light commercial temporary lighting applications.
Designed for use with standard A23 or larger incandescent bulbs rated up to 150 watts. Suitable for indoor and outdoor temporary lighting applications on residential and light commercial job sites.
Installation is typically performed by licensed electricians or qualified contractors following NEC guidelines for temporary wiring. Ensure the circuit supplying the string is rated for the combined load of all connected bulbs before energizing. Inspect the cord and lamp holders for damage before each use, and do not exceed the 150-watt-per-socket rating. Keep the cord clear of standing water, sharp edges, and high-traffic walkways during use.
