The SOUTHWIRE 58046201 is a flexible, non-metallic liquid tight conduit designed to protect wiring in wet, corrosive, and mechanically demanding environments. Sold as a 100-foot roll in a 0.5-inch trade size, it provides a continuous, non-conductive raceway suitable for service entrance runs, equipment connections, and outdoor branch circuits. The conduit is UL listed for direct burial, making it a code-acceptable choice for underground wiring applications. Electricians and HVAC technicians install this conduit where flexibility, moisture resistance, and chemical resistance are required in a single product. The consistent diameter and smooth cutting characteristics simplify termination with standard liquid tight fittings.
This conduit is well suited for machinery wiring, air conditioning and heating equipment connections, and outdoor lighting circuits in both residential and light commercial installations. Its high flexibility allows routing around obstacles and through tight equipment enclosures without fracturing or separating at the jacket. The non-conductive construction eliminates galvanic corrosion concerns at fittings and ensures ground integrity is maintained through a dedicated grounding conductor rather than the conduit body itself. It is appropriate for wet and damp locations per NEC requirements when installed with compatible liquid tight fittings.
Designed for use with standard 0.5-inch liquid tight non-metallic conduit fittings. Forms a complete nonmetallic, non-conductive wiring system when paired with compatible liquid tight connectors and couplings.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC Article 356 governing Liquidtight Flexible Nonmetallic Conduit. De-energize all circuits before making any connections at equipment terminations. Use fittings rated for the same trade size and liquid tight service to maintain the integrity of the sealed system. For direct burial runs, verify local burial depth requirements per NEC Table 300.5 before backfilling.
