Product Description

The SOUTHWIRE 55275023 is a 100-foot roll of 12/3 AC-90 steel armored cable designed for branch circuit and feeder wiring in residential and commercial electrical installations. The cable features copper THHN conductors rated to 90 degrees C, housed inside a flexible interlocking steel armor that eliminates the need for additional couplings or elbows during routing. A 16 AWG internal bonding wire, combined with the outer steel armor, forms the grounding path. Anti-short bushings are included with each roll. The cable is UL listed and approved for use in dry locations on both exposed and concealed work.

This armored cable is suited for branch circuits and feeders in residential and light commercial applications where a flexible, self-protecting wiring method is required. It is appropriate for exposed runs in mechanical rooms, concealed runs inside walls and ceilings, and other dry-location installations where rigid conduit is not practical. The black-striped color-coded conductors assist with proper circuit identification during installation and inspection.
