The SOUTHWIRE 411020511 is a 16 AWG stranded machine tool wire designed for internal wiring of machine tools, control panels, and industrial equipment. The conductor uses 26 strands for increased flexibility and fatigue resistance compared to solid wire. PVC insulation provides resistance to acids, moisture, and oils commonly encountered in machine and manufacturing environments. The wire is rated for a maximum operating temperature of 221 degrees F and a minimum of -4 degrees F, making it suitable for demanding shop-floor and panel-wiring applications. Each spool provides 500 feet of usable length. Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified control panel builders.
This wire is intended for use in machine tool wiring, industrial control panels, and automated equipment installations. The pink color coding aids in conductor identification within multi-wire panel assemblies. The oil-resistant and moisture-resistant PVC insulation suits environments where exposure to cutting fluids, coolants, or industrial chemicals is likely. The 0.12 inch outside diameter accommodates standard ferrules and terminal blocks used in control cabinet wiring. Use appropriate wire ferrules and crimp tools when terminating in screw-cage or spring-clamp terminals to maintain conductor integrity. Do not exceed the rated operating temperature of the insulation.
