The SOUTHWIRE 411020503 is a 16 AWG stranded machine tool wire intended for internal wiring of machine tools, control panels, and industrial equipment. Built with polyvinylchloride (PVC) insulation in a high-visibility orange jacket, this wire measures 0.12 inches in outside diameter and is supplied on a 500-foot spool. With 26 strands, it offers the flexibility needed in tight cabinet runs and moving assemblies. The insulation is rated for continuous operation up to 221 degrees F and down to -4 degrees F, making it suitable for demanding industrial environments. Resistance to acids, moisture, and oil adds durability in machine shop and manufacturing settings.
This wire is used in the internal wiring of CNC machines, motor control centers, industrial control panels, and automated equipment where flexible, oil- and moisture-resistant conductors are required. Electricians and industrial maintenance technicians install this wire when building or servicing control enclosures that require UL-listed and CSA-certified conductors. The orange color supports easy circuit identification inside complex panel layouts.
Designed for use as internal machine tool wiring in industrial control panels, CNC equipment, and automated machinery where UL 1063 or CSA 22.2 No. 210 listed wire is specified.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out all equipment before routing or terminating this wire. This wire is rated for internal machine wiring applications and should not be used as a general-purpose branch circuit conductor or exposed to conditions beyond its listed temperature and chemical resistance ratings.
