The SOUTHWIRE 411020501 is a 16 AWG machine tool wire rated for use in industrial control panels, machine tools, and automated equipment wiring applications. Built with a 26-strand conductor and PVC insulation, this wire measures 0.12 inches in outside diameter and comes in a 500-foot length. It is rated for a maximum operating temperature of 221 degrees F and a minimum operating temperature of -4 degrees F. The PVC insulation provides resistance to acids, moisture, and oil, making it well suited for demanding machine-tool environments. Installation is typically performed by licensed electricians or industrial maintenance technicians.
This wire is used in the internal wiring of machine tools, control cabinets, and industrial automation panels where a flexible, oil-resistant conductor is required. The 500-foot spool is appropriate for panel shops and facilities that wire multiple machines or require longer runs within enclosures. Its compliance with UL 1063 and CSA 22.2 No. 210 makes it acceptable for both U.S. and Canadian installations where those standards are specified by the authority having jurisdiction.
Designed for use as internal wiring in machine tools and industrial control panels where UL 1063 or CSA 22.2 No. 210 listed, 16 AWG PVC-insulated machine tool wire is specified.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the panel or machine before routing or terminating wire. This wire is intended for internal wiring of enclosures and machine tools and should not be used as general building wire or exposed outdoor wiring. Verify ampacity and conduit fill calculations per NEC Article 310 before installation.
