The SOUTHWIRE 411010508 is an 18 AWG stranded copper machine tool wire rated for use in industrial control panels, machine tools, and related electrical equipment. Constructed with polyvinylchloride (PVC) insulation and a 0.108 inch outside diameter, this wire is built to handle demanding shop-floor environments. It carries 16 strands for flexibility during routing and termination. The wire is rated for a maximum operating temperature of 221 degrees F and a minimum of -4 degrees F, making it suitable for a wide range of indoor industrial applications. Electricians and machine builders reach for this wire when wiring control cabinets, motor starters, and similar equipment.
This wire is intended for use inside machine tools, control panels, and industrial enclosures. Its resistance to acid, moisture, and oil makes it well suited for manufacturing environments where fluids and contaminants are present. The 500-foot spool length reduces the need for mid-run splices on larger panel builds or production-floor wire runs, improving both efficiency and reliability on the job.
Designed for use in machine tool wiring, industrial control panels, and enclosures where UL 1063 or CSA 22.2 No. 210 listed wire is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the panel or equipment before pulling or terminating wire. This wire is rated for internal wiring of equipment and enclosures and is not intended for general branch-circuit or open-air outdoor wiring. Use appropriate connectors and terminal lugs rated for 18 AWG stranded conductors.
