The SOUTHWIRE 25659401 is a 10 AWG THHN/THWN stranded copper building wire rated for 30 amps and 600 volts. This spool contains 500 feet of single-conductor wire with a 19-strand copper core, thermoplastic insulation, and a nylon jacket in purple. The purple jacket makes it easy to distinguish from other conductors during installation and in conduit. Licensed electricians use this wire for branch circuit wiring in commercial and residential applications where THHN or THWN-rated conductors are required by code. The nylon outer jacket resists abrasion, oil, gasoline, heat, and moisture, making it suitable for use in wet or dry locations.
This wire is designed for use in conduit or raceway installations in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The THHN rating covers dry locations, while the THWN rating extends suitability to wet environments. Common applications include panel feeders, branch circuits, motor connections, and machine tool wiring where a single insulated conductor is called for. The 500-foot spool length is appropriate for larger jobs or stocking purposes.
Designed for use in conduit, wireways, and raceways as a single-conductor THHN/THWN building wire meeting NEC requirements for branch circuit and feeder wiring in residential, commercial, and industrial installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before making any connections. This wire must be installed in conduit or raceway — it is not rated for direct burial or free-air use as a single conductor without appropriate protection. Verify conduit fill calculations per NEC Chapter 9 before pulling wire.
