The SOUTHWIRE 24250301 is a 12 AWG stranded copper building wire rated for THHN and THWN applications, sold in a 500-foot spool. It carries a 20-amp rating at 600 volts and features thermoplastic insulation with a pink nylon jacket. The 19-strand copper core provides flexibility during pulls through conduit in both rough-in and finish electrical work. This wire is used by licensed electricians in residential and light commercial construction, panel feeds, branch circuit runs, and conduit fills where a color-coded conductor is required for circuit identification.
This wire is well suited for branch circuit wiring in residential and commercial buildings where THHN or THWN-rated conductors are specified. The pink jacket color supports color-coded conduit fills, making it useful when standard colors are already assigned or when additional circuit identification is needed. It performs in both dry and wet locations, making it appropriate for interior conduit runs as well as damp or outdoor conduit applications where THWN-rated conductors are required by the National Electrical Code.
Designed for use in conduit systems requiring THHN or THWN-rated 12 AWG conductors in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical installations.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit or panel before terminating conductors. Use appropriate conduit fill calculations per NEC Chapter 9 when combining multiple conductors in a single raceway. Avoid sharp bends that exceed the wire's minimum bend radius during pulls to prevent insulation damage.
