The SOUTHWIRE/COLEMAN CABLE 22968258 is a 500-foot coil of 12 AWG stranded copper THHN building wire in green jacket. THHN is a general-purpose thermoplastic insulation rated for use in conduit and cable trays across a wide range of commercial and residential electrical installations. The nylon jacket resists abrasion and pulling damage during installation. This wire is rated at 600 volts and 90 degrees C dry, making it suitable for branch circuits, feeder runs, and general-purpose wiring in conduit. Licensed electricians are the primary installers of this product in new construction, retrofit, and panel work.
This wire is used in residential and commercial electrical systems wherever code-compliant 12 AWG branch circuit conductors are required. Green insulation identifies this wire as an equipment grounding conductor per NEC color-coding conventions, making it appropriate for ground runs in conduit. It is commonly pulled through EMT, rigid metal conduit, or PVC conduit. Suitable for use in dry and damp locations as defined by NEC article 310.
Designed for use in conduit systems and cable trays as an equipment grounding conductor or general-purpose branch circuit wire where 12 AWG THHN copper conductors are specified.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before making any terminations. Use approved wire-pulling lubricant when pulling through conduit to avoid jacket damage. Do not exceed the wire's 600-volt and 90 degrees C ratings in the installed application.
