The SOUTHWIRE 22958301 is a THHN/THWN-rated building wire designed for use in conduit and cable tray installations in residential, commercial, and industrial applications. This 14 AWG stranded copper conductor features a thermoplastic insulation with a nylon outer jacket and carries a 15-amp rating at 600 volts. The 19-strand construction improves flexibility over solid wire, making it easier to pull through conduit runs. The blue jacket color provides visual circuit identification on the job. Licensed electricians install this wire in compliance with the NEC, and it is suitable for both dry and wet locations per its dual THHN/THWN listing.
This wire is appropriate for branch circuit wiring in residential and light commercial construction, as well as general-purpose power and lighting circuits. The 500-foot spool length suits full-circuit runs without mid-run splices on standard branch circuit layouts. Its resistance to abrasion, gasoline, heat, moisture, and oil makes it a solid choice for mechanical rooms, industrial panels, and wet or damp conduit runs where environmental exposure is a concern.
Designed for use in conduit, wireways, and cable trays per THHN/THWN application requirements in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems operating at up to 600 volts.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit panel before making any terminations. Use listed conduit fittings and approved pulling lubricant when routing through conduit to avoid jacket damage. Do not exceed the rated ampacity for the conductor size and installation method as defined in NEC ampacity tables.
