The SOUTHWIRE/COLEMAN CABLE 22955983 is a 50-foot coil of 14 AWG stranded copper THHN building wire rated for 600 volts and 90 degrees C. The nylon jacket and THHN insulation make this wire suitable for pulling through conduit in both dry and damp locations. Stranded construction improves flexibility compared to solid wire, making it easier to route through junction boxes and conduit runs. This wire ships on a plastic spool for clean, tangle-free dispensing. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors are the primary installers for this type of wire.
This 14 AWG THHN wire is used in commercial and residential electrical installations where branch circuit wiring is pulled through EMT, rigid metal conduit, PVC conduit, or wireways. Common applications include lighting circuits, outlet branch circuits, and general-purpose wiring in new construction and renovation projects. The 50-foot length is well suited for smaller runs or service calls where a full reel is not needed.
Designed as a standard THHN type building wire suitable for use in conduit systems in residential and commercial branch circuit wiring applications per NEC guidelines.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. Always de-energize and lock out the circuit before making any wire connections. THHN wire is rated for conduit installation and should not be used as open wiring or in direct burial applications. Verify conductor ampacity and conduit fill requirements before pulling wire.
