The SOUTHWIRE 152m is a Type RG6 quad shield coaxial cable designed for signal distribution in residential and light commercial installations. The cable features a solid bare copper center conductor surrounded by PVC insulation and a 95% copper braid shield, delivering reliable attenuation performance across a broad frequency range. Rated at 300 volts, this riser-rated cable is suitable for in-wall and between-floor routing where building codes require flame-retardant cable jackets. Licensed electricians and low-voltage installers are the typical trades handling this product. The black jacket finish is standard for structured wiring and retrofit applications.
This cable is specified for Audio/Video, Radio Frequency, and CATV/MATV transmission systems. It is well suited for distribution of cable television signals, antenna feeds, and satellite downlead runs in both new construction and retrofit projects. The riser rating makes it appropriate for vertical runs through stud bays and between floors without the need for conduit in many jurisdictions. Contractors working on MDU buildings, hospitality installations, and residential CATV drops will find this a practical choice for bulk coax runs.
Designed as a direct-fit bulk coaxial cable for RG6 termination systems including standard F-connectors used in CATV, MATV, satellite, and antenna distribution applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage technician or electrician in accordance with NEC Article 820 governing community antenna television and radio distribution cable. De-energize all active signal amplifiers and power-passing splitters before terminating or splicing. Use a dedicated RG6 compression tool and properly sized F-connectors rated for quad-shield cable to ensure a weathertight, low-loss termination. Avoid sharp bends below the cable minimum bend radius to prevent shield deformation and signal degradation.
