The SOUTHWIRE 13077302 is a 150-foot roll of 6-6-6 AWG copper SEU (Service Entrance Cable - Unarmored) rated for residential and light commercial electrical service work. This three-conductor cable carries current from the utility connection point into the structure's main panel or sub-panel. The all-copper conductors offer reliable conductivity, and the outer jacket is engineered to resist moisture, chemicals, corrosion, crushing, and UV exposure from direct sunlight. It is UL listed, meeting Underwriters Laboratories standards for service entrance applications. Licensed electricians install this cable as part of metered service installations governed by the National Electrical Code.
This cable is suited for service entrance runs from a utility pole to a residential structure, as well as interior service entrance routing to the main distribution panel. The 6-6-6 AWG configuration — two 6 AWG uninsulated or insulated conductors plus a 6 AWG bare neutral — is a common sizing for residential service drops and feeder applications. The 150-foot roll length provides enough run for most standard residential service entrance installations without a mid-run splice.
Designed as an OEM-compatible service entrance cable for residential and light commercial electrical service entrance installations requiring 6-6-6 AWG unarmored copper SEU cable.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. Disconnect and lock out all power at the utility disconnect before handling service entrance conductors. SEU cable must be properly supported and secured at required intervals per NEC guidelines, and connections at the meter base and panel must be torqued to the terminal manufacturer's specifications found on the equipment label. Do not substitute SEU cable in applications requiring armored or conduit-rated conductors where local code mandates a different wiring method.
