The SOUTHWIRE 13056722 is a 50-foot roll of 10 AWG, 2-conductor UF-B underground feeder cable rated for direct earth burial and indoor wet or corrosive location wiring. UF-B cable differs from standard NM-B in that its conductors are encased in a solid thermoplastic jacket engineered to resist moisture, soil acids, alkalis, ground water, and corrosive fumes. The cable will not support combustion and is sunlight-resistant, making it suitable for exposed outdoor runs as well as buried branch circuit applications. Electricians rely on this product for residential and light commercial branch circuits that transition from interior panels to outdoor loads or buried conduit-free runs.
This cable is used in residential and light commercial electrical installations where a branch circuit must be run underground without conduit, or through wet or corrosive interior environments. Common applications include circuits feeding outdoor lighting, outbuildings, water features, and pump loads. The solid 10 AWG conductors support 30-amp-rated branch circuits in appropriate installation conditions per NEC guidelines. Each roll is 50 feet, sized for typical single-run branch circuit extensions.
Designed as an OEM-style direct-burial branch circuit cable suitable for residential and light commercial underground feeder applications meeting NEC Article 340 requirements for Type UF-B wiring.
Installation of underground feeder cable must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC Article 340 and all applicable local codes. Always de-energize and lock out the circuit at the panel before making any terminations. Minimum burial depth requirements vary by application and local jurisdiction — consult the NEC and local amendments before trenching. Avoid sharp bends, staple over the jacket carefully to prevent insulation damage, and verify the termination enclosures are rated for the wet or outdoor environment.
