The SOUTHWIRE 13054255 is a 250-foot roll of 14 AWG 2-conductor UFW/G electrical wire engineered for underground feeder and branch circuit applications. This cable is built for direct earth burial and rated for wet or corrosive indoor locations, making it a reliable choice where standard NM cable cannot be used. The construction resists acids, alkalis, corrosive fumes, chemicals, lubricants, and groundwater. It is noncorroding, sunlight-resistant, and will not support combustion. Licensed electricians working on residential and light commercial branch circuits rely on this wire for sub-panel feeds, outbuildings, landscape lighting circuits, and similar runs that transition from above grade to below ground.
This UFW/G cable is suited for direct burial in residential and light commercial installations where a branch circuit must pass through wet, damp, or underground environments. Typical applications include runs to detached garages, sheds, outdoor equipment, and irrigation controls. The 14 AWG conductor size is appropriate for 15-amp branch circuits per NEC guidelines. The 250-foot roll length accommodates most mid-range residential feeder runs without splicing.
Designed for use in 15-amp residential and light commercial branch circuits requiring underground feeder or wet-location rated cable per NEC Article 340.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit at the panel before making any connections. Verify minimum burial depth requirements per NEC Article 300 and Article 340 before trenching. Do not use this cable as a substitute for service entrance cable or in applications requiring armored cable protection.
