The SOUTHWIRE 13054221 is a 14 AWG, 2-conductor UFW/G underground feeder cable rated for direct earth burial and a range of demanding installation environments. Constructed to resist acids, alkalis, corrosive fumes, chemicals, lubricants, and groundwater, this cable maintains integrity in wet, damp, and corrosive locations. The jacket is noncorroding and sunlight-resistant, and the cable will not support combustion. It is UL listed, making it compliant with standard branch-circuit wiring requirements. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this cable in residential and light commercial applications where a durable, burial-rated conductor is required.
This cable is suited for underground feeder runs in direct earth burial branch circuits as well as indoor installations in wet or corrosive locations. Common applications include outdoor lighting circuits, outbuildings, landscape power feeds, and interior runs through wet or chemically exposed environments such as utility rooms, basements, and industrial spaces. The 25-foot length is practical for shorter branch-circuit runs where a full spool is not required.
Designed as a UFW/G underground feeder cable for use in direct burial branch-circuit wiring and wet or corrosive indoor locations per applicable electrical code requirements.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any applicable local codes. De-energize the circuit at the breaker panel and verify the circuit is dead with a voltage tester before making any connections. Verify local burial depth requirements before trenching, as minimum cover depths vary by application and jurisdiction. Do not exceed the ampacity rating for 14 AWG conductors as specified in the NEC ampacity tables.
