The SOUTHWIRE 1265 is a 1-1/2 inch PVC 30-degree plain end elbow designed for use in electrical conduit systems. This fitting allows for directional changes in rigid PVC conduit runs at a 30-degree angle, using plain ends for solvent-cement connections. It is used in commercial and residential electrical installations where code-compliant conduit routing requires a shallow-angle bend. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting as part of underground or exposed PVC conduit assemblies. The plain end design accepts standard PVC conduit cement for a secure, weathertight joint.
This elbow is suited for use in underground conduit systems, concrete encasements, and above-ground electrical raceways where a 30-degree change in direction is required. It is appropriate for both new construction and retrofit wiring projects in residential, commercial, and light industrial applications. The 1-1/2 inch trade size fits standard Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 PVC conduit of the same nominal diameter.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for use with 1-1/2 inch trade size PVC electrical conduit systems in standard Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 applications.
Installation of PVC conduit fittings is typically performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize all circuits and verify power is off before working on any conduit system. Clean conduit ends and apply approved PVC solvent cement to both the fitting socket and conduit end before joining. Allow full cure time per the solvent cement manufacturer instructions before pulling wire or pressurizing the raceway.
