The SOUTHWIRE 125 is a rigid two-hole strap designed to secure conduit to structural surfaces such as studs, joists, framing members, and electrical enclosures. Sized for 3/4-inch rigid conduit, this strap is constructed from bright zinc electroplated steel, providing corrosion resistance suitable for standard indoor and light commercial installations. Electricians use two-hole straps to meet NEC support-interval requirements for rigid metal conduit and intermediate metal conduit runs. The two-hole mounting pattern distributes load across the conduit and prevents rotation, keeping runs aligned and secure throughout the conduit system.
This strap is commonly installed in residential and light commercial electrical work wherever rigid conduit must be anchored to wood or metal framing. It is well suited for exposed conduit runs in panels, service entrances, branch circuit installations, and mechanical rooms. The 3/4-inch size fits standard trade-size rigid or IMC conduit and is a staple fitting for electricians stocking a service van or completing rough-in work on larger conduit systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for 3/4-inch rigid metal conduit and intermediate metal conduit installations in residential and commercial electrical systems.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with NEC Article 344 for rigid metal conduit support intervals. De-energize all circuits in the work area before mounting straps near existing wiring. Fasten both holes of the strap to the structural member using appropriate fasteners for the substrate to ensure proper conduit support. Do not overtighten fasteners in a way that deforms the strap or stresses the conduit wall.
