The SOUTHWARK METAL 58-26GA_14X10 is a 3-piece sheet metal pipe reducer designed for round duct transitions in forced-air HVAC systems. It steps down from a 14-inch diameter larger end to a 10-inch diameter smaller end and is fabricated from hot dip galvanized steel at 26 gauge. The galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance suited for both supply and return duct applications. No crimp is supplied on this fitting, so field crimping or drive-and-cleat connections are handled at installation. HVAC sheet metal mechanics and duct installers use this reducer wherever a trunk-to-branch or duct-to-equipment transition requires a reduction in round duct diameter.
This reducer is suited for residential and light commercial forced-air duct systems where a concentric round duct reduction is needed. It is appropriate for supply or return duct runs, equipment connections, and branch takeoffs that call for a transition from 14-inch to 10-inch round ductwork. The 3-piece construction is standard for larger-diameter fittings and allows the fitting to seat correctly against mating duct sections. Fabricated to ACCA and SMACNA applicable standards, it is compatible with standard round duct systems used in new construction and retrofit HVAC installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for standard 14-inch to 10-inch round duct systems built to ACCA and SMACNA specifications.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians or qualified sheet metal mechanics. Power down the air handling unit and close any associated dampers before working in the duct system. Secure the fitting with sheet metal screws and seal all joints with UL 181-listed mastic or foil tape per SMACNA installation standards. Do not use this fitting in applications requiring a crimped end without field-crimping the appropriate end to match the mating duct section.
