The SOUTHWARK METAL 27_3-1/4X12X7 is a straight wall stack sheet metal duct boot fabricated from hot dip galvanized steel. It transitions from a rectangular duct opening to a round collar, directing conditioned air from a wall cavity into a room through a register or grille. The rectangular outlet measures 3.25 inches by 12 inches (Size A), and the round collar measures 7 inches in diameter (Size B). This boot is built to ACCA and SMACNA standards, making it suitable for residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC ductwork installations. HVAC technicians and sheet metal contractors are the primary installers.
This wall stack boot is designed for vertical duct runs inside wall cavities, delivering supply air at the floor or wall register level. It is commonly used in residential new construction and retrofit projects where a rectangular duct stack feeds a floor or baseboard register. The straight configuration allows a direct, unobstructed connection between the wall duct and the register face without any offset. It fits standard wall stack duct systems and is appropriate for both heating and cooling applications in forced-air systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-construction fitting for standard wall stack forced-air duct systems requiring a straight boot with a 3.25 x 12 inch rectangular face and a 7 inch round collar.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or sheet metal contractor familiar with SMACNA duct construction standards. Power down the air handler or furnace before connecting or modifying any duct components. Secure all joints with appropriate sheet metal screws and seal with UL 181-rated duct mastic or foil tape per local mechanical code requirements. Do not compress or restrict the round collar connection when attaching flexible duct.
